Automatic Scan For Processing Data
- Finding the right audiotrack
- Removal of black bars (crop)
- Deinterlaceing (decomb)
- Format Correction (ratio)
- Automatic Station Logo Crop
- After you press "Start", all videos on the batch list are scanned for the conversion data.
- This happens fully automatic in the background while other files are already being converted.
- The scan process will run short test conversions deeper and deeper into the file, until it has found three identical crop results per dimension (top, bottom, left and right).
- As per your setting for the main language and the alternative language (if main language not found), MkvBatcher finds the right audio track.
- If 5.1-CH is not found, 2-CH is selected. If the main language is not found, the audio track of your alternative language is taken and subtitles in the main language are added.
- The scan process will run short test conversions deeper and deeper into the file, until it has found three identical crop results per dimension (top, bottom, left and right).
- This ensures, that dark sceenes are not accidentally taken as black bars to be cropped. If you want to change the crop values manually, use the edit fields at the bottom and press save.
- The "headline button" crop edit toggles the edit area between "Crop Edit" and "Duration Edit".
- If during one of the test runs a need for deinterlacing and/or some other filtering is detected, "decomb" is set to 1 for the conversion.
- If you want no black bars on wide material (wider than 16:9), the option "force 16:9" adjusts the crop values so that the video is 16:9 after conversion.
- Format 16:9 = Ratio 1.77
- Many TV recordings have a station logo in top black bar of wide screen material. The normal crop sensoring will see this as content and only crop above the logo. MkvBatcher crops the logo by using the bottom crop value also for the top crop in such cases.
- "...\MkvBatcher\D4P\YourLanguage\Auf den Spuren Darwins.MPG.1.0.D4P":
- The file name is "VideoName.Type.Size.D4P" (D4P = data for processing)
