- Search the desired stop point with the controls of VLC player and put it there in pause mode.
- Click into the edit field "stop at:". This will put the current position of VLC player into that field.

- In this example of a tv recording we have clipped the extra minutes at the start and the end.
- The data for "Start at -> Stop at" changed from Beginning/End to the new entries
- and the duration changed from 55 min to 43 min.
The processing data are stored in "...\MkvBatcher\D4P\YourLanguage\VideoTitle.Type.Size.D4P":
- Note:
- The video has to have "standby" status on the batch list before edit is possible.
- Use the output mode "scan only" to scan videos in preparation for duration edit.
- When you are done with all edits, change the output mode to e.g. "Match source folder structure" and press the start button.
- The cutter will not affect the original file but only the converted file. Although this cutter only allows cutting by the second, it is a quick way of trimming the beginning and/or end of TV recordings. If you need a more acurate cutting per frame and the ability to cut out commercials etc., please use specialized tools (e.g. TS-Doctor) before you add a file for conversion to the batch list.
